Trakų Vokė Manor invites professional artists, curators, artist collectives, art organizations, and cultural institutions to submit exhibition proposals for presentation at Trakų Vokė Manor in 2027.
Trakų Vokė Manor is a 19th-century historic architectural and cultural heritage site where historical heritage meets contemporary art and culture. The exhibition spaces within the manor house provide opportunities to present works across a variety of artistic disciplines, experiment with exhibition formats, and create a dialogue between the historic setting and contemporary art.
Exhibitions may be presented in the exhibition spaces on the ground and first floors of Trakų Vokė Manor, or on the basement level, depending on the nature of the project and technical possibilities.
The 2027 exhibition programme at Trakų Vokė Manor aims to present professional visual art that fosters dialogue between cultural heritage and contemporary artistic practice. We welcome projects that respond sensitively to the historic environment, explore themes of memory, identity, nature, architecture, cultural heritage, and the relationship between people and their surroundings, and propose new ways of experiencing historic spaces.
We welcome proposals from artists working across a wide range of disciplines, including both established and emerging artists. We are particularly interested in projects distinguished by artistic quality, professionalism, and an original concept. Our aim is for Trakų Vokė Manor to serve as an open cultural space where the historic environment becomes a source of inspiration for new artistic interpretations and meaningful dialogue with visitors.
Trakų Vokė Manor seeks to develop a contemporary art collection reflecting the history of the manor’s cultural activities. Artists who wish to contribute to the collection are invited to donate one of their works to the manor following their exhibition.
The donation of an artwork is entirely voluntary and has no bearing on the evaluation of an application. The selection of the donated work and the terms of its transfer, storage, display, and use will be agreed upon with the artist and formalized in a separate written agreement.
Selected exhibitions at Trakų Vokė Manor will run for a period of one month to six weeks, in accordance with the agreed 2027 exhibition programme.
Specific exhibition dates will be coordinated with the selected applicants, taking into account the manor’s annual cultural programme and the availability of exhibition spaces.
Applications are accepted until 30 September 2026.
