Trio Kagura “Piano Trio Concert”

TRIO KAGURA is an international ensemble formed in Manchester, uniting musicians from Japan, Lithuania and New Zealand. The name Kagura comes from the Japanese ritual music and dance tradition, intended to bring joy and peace to the community; it also reflects the trio’s mission – music to unite and inspire people.

Recent highlights include a Britten-Pears Young Artists residency at Snape Maltings for the 2024-2025 season, a concert tour of New Zealand in 2025, and invitations to give masterclasses and perform at Kamermuziek Atelier Delft events in 2025 and 2026. In the near future – a concert at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester (2026-2027 Manchester Midday Music concert series).

Creative friendships have brought Trio Kagura together with prominent world musicians, such as David Waterman, Kathryn Stott, Pavel Fischer, Petr Prause, Donald Grant, as well as members of the Talich Quartet and musicians of Trio Gaspard. Last year, the trio was invited to participate in the prestigious Chamber Studio mentorship program.

Trio Kagura continues to delight listeners with their expressive performance and desire to expand the boundaries of chamber music.
