Vytenis DANIELIUS: Tango, jazz and classics
ConcertsWe invite you to a musical journey where three different, but organically merging worlds meet in the work of Vytenis Danielius – classics, tango and jazz. This time the accordion will reveal itself not only as a melodic instrument, but also as a portable organ or orchestra in one instrument – from subtle classical interpretations to temperamental tango rhythms and free jazz improvisation.
Vytenis Danielius is an accordionist, composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, capable of combining different musical experiences and genres into one musical program. His repertoire includes the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, works by Niccolò Paganini, tango, jazz, pop music and the author’s own compositions. In each performance, the performer stands out for his technical mastery, expression and unique approach to music.
Vytenis is a laureate of prestigious international accordion competitions, having performed on various stages in Europe, Asia and other countries. He received his musical education in Lithuania, and during internships he deepened his knowledge in Italy, the Netherlands and Latvia. The performer has obtained as many as three higher education diplomas – in the fields of classical accordion, jazz vocals and saxophone. This experience in different disciplines allows him to freely move between carefully felt classics, improvisational jazz and other musical genres.
Vytenis attracted the attention of classical music fans with his impressive interpretations of works for the accordion, including “Toccata and Fugue in D minor”, which has collected hundreds of thousands of views on the Internet. Meanwhile, jazz is increasingly taking up space in his musical activity today. The performer’s original composition “Pergalė” was selected by an international commission for the publication “Jazz from Lithuania 2025”, presenting the brightest and highest quality jazz works released in Lithuania in 2025.
A new stage in his creative work is also marked by his debut vinyl record “Shades of Heart”. It subtly combines influences from classical music, jazz and tango.
